Jan Marini Glycolic Peel
The Jan Marini Glycolic Acid Facial Peel is a gentle, progressive glycolic acid peel to rejuvenate the skin and reduce signs of ageing.
This peel is perfect to:
remove dead skin cells
rejuvenate your skin
eliminate fine lines
eradicate dry, thickened or congested skin
improve the overall texture of the skin,
The peel is followed by extraction or a cooling mask.
A range of products and treatments hailing from California, Jan Marini’s approach to skin care is to not only address current skin conditions, but also be able to provide the skin with the necessary ingredients to prevent and maintain a healthy skin at all ages.
Most of Jan Marini’s products base themselves around Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA), “Glycolic Acid”, which is naturally derived from sugar cane and has the smallest molecular structure of the AHA family, allowing it to penetrate into the skin much more effectively than other AHA’s. Glycolic acid helps to reduce cell “build-up” at the lower levels of the skin and loosens the “glue-like” attachments or cellular cement that is characteristic of many skin conditions.
Does it hurt?
Most clients report this treatment as very comfortable. There might be mild tingling whilst the peel is active on the skin.
How long does the treatment last?
What is the skin’s appearance after the treatment?
The skin could appear slightly flushed but this will fade within a few hours.
When will I see results?
Results are progressive as this is a gentle peel but you will notice a difference in the skin immediately after treatment.
How many treatments will I need?
For optimum results, we recommend a course of 6 treatments, taken at intervals prescribed by your aesthetician.
