Elite Laser Vein Removal

The Elite Laser Vein Removal system can remove facial and leg vascular lesions such as

  • Telangiectasias
  • Spider veins
  • Port wine stains
  • Rosacea
  • Hemangiomas
  • Thicker purple veins

The Elite system uses lasers of different wavelengths which allows for treatment of a wide range of vascular legions, including the 1064 nm Nd:YAG which is the wavelength of choice for treating facial and leg veins.

How does it work?
The laser light emitted is absorbed by the blood rather than any surrounding tissue. This means that the blood vessel is destroyed and then over time is broken down by the body and removed, whilst the surrounding skin is undamaged.
Does it hurt?
Most clients report that this is a very comfortable treatment, some feeling nothing at all and others a mild hot pin pricking sensation.
What is involved during the treatment?

Your Aesthetic Therapist will first perform an in-depth consultation and your medical history will be taken, to ensure that there are no reasons why you shouldn’t have the treatment. You will be asked to sign a consent form at this time which means that you have understood the potential benefits and risks associated with the treatment.  Your Aesthetic Therapist will then take a Visia Skin Analysis of your skin to enable us to create a bespoke programme for you and to answer any questions you may have prior to starting treatment.

We start by cleansing the area to be treated so it is free of makeup and impurities, we then proceed with the treatment by working over the veins with a probe, placing it gently onto the skin, passing the high frequency current down the probe to help coagulate the blood vessel to stop the blood flow.

Most treatments take no more than 15 minutes and patients will see an immediate effect followed by a continued improvement.

What is the skins’ appearance after the treatment?
The area treated can look red and slightly swollen straight after the treatment, similar to a cat scratch. This will then fade over the next 24 hours.
When will I see results?
You may notice a slight darkening of the veins before the body breaks it down taking up to 4-6 weeks to notice the full effect.
How many treatments will I need?
The amount of treatments needed depends on the extent of the condition. Some clients will need up to 3 – 6 sessions and your treatment programme will be tailored to your individual needs.
Are there any side effects?
There are no known side effects of the Elite Vein Removal treatment.
Is there any aftercare needed?
We may apply some Aloe Vera gel post treatment. No other after care is required.
