Hamony AFT IPL/Dye-PL Vein Removal
The Harmony Vein Removal is a non invasive technology that harnesses the power of laser to effectively remove unsightly veins on the legs. It is particularly effective to reduce:
- A complex network of veins
- Diffused redness
The Harmony system uses lasers of different wavelengths which means that both superficial and deeper veins can be treated with minimal side effects, safely and with no need for needles.
How does it work?
Harmony Laser Vein Removal has both an Nd:YAG and AFT treatment head, which can be used to target veins of different depths and those that have caused a complex network of veins and a diffused redness. The vessels absorb the laser energy, causing them to collapse, break down and then be removed from the body. The energy is only attracted to the vessels, which means that the surrounding tissue is unharmed.
What is involved during the treatment?Your Aesthetic Therapist will first perform an in-depth consultation and your medical history will be taken, to ensure that there are no reasons why you shouldn’t have the treatment. You will be asked to sign a consent form at this time which means that you have understood the potential benefits and risks associated with the treatment. Your Aesthetic Therapist will then take a Visia Skin Analysis of your skin to enable us to create a bespoke programme for you and to answer any questions you may have prior to starting treatment.
We start by thoroughly cleansing the area to be treated and then your Aesthetic Therapist will put special glasses or eyepads over your eyes to protect them. A cool gel is then applied to the skin being treated. The surface of the hand piece is gently applied to your skin and pulses of light flash.
Once the treatment is over, the gel will be removed, the skin will be cleaned and a sun block will be applied to protect the skin. If there is any mild swelling, and for sensitive skin, a cool compress is applied following treatment for five or ten minutes.
The treatment will last up to 45 minutes depending on the area to be treated.
Does it Hurt?You may feel a slight sting when the Intense Pulsed Light is applied, like the snapping of a small rubber band.What is the skins’ appearance after the treatment?The skin will appear red and slightly swollen the veins will appear smudged for no more than 24 hours.
You can go back to normal activities immediately after treatment but we advise avoiding direct sunlight for 3-4 days post treatment.
When will I see results?After several treatments, clients report a smoother skin that has a more even tone. There is a high level of satisfaction with the outcome from this treatment.How many treatments will I need?The number of treatments that you require to achieve your desired outcome will be discussed at consultation, but it is likely to be 3 – 6 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart. We can then advise on follow up treatments (such as once a year) to maintain your rejuvenated skin.Prices
