ThermaVein Vein Removal
Instant, safe and permanent removal of veins
ThermaVein treatment can be used to treat thread veins, vascular blemishes, rosacea spider veins, and spider naevus from the face, neck and hands. These veins can also be referred to as telangiectasia.
ThermVein is especially effective for spider veins, fine veins and cherry angioma.
It is the most advanced treatment for the removal of facial veins and is relatively painless with minimal trauma to the skin. Results are consistent and there are no known side effects. It is a safe treatment.
How does it work?ThermaVein treats the veins by delivering a tiny microwave current to the treatment area, at under 0.2 seconds at a time. It penetrates only 1.5mm into the treatment area and this causes the vein to close. The current can then cause it to disappear instantly.The client may experience a mild pinching sensation, but the treatment is highly regarded as relatively painless.
After the treatment the client can return to normal activities with no downtime.
Does it hurt?Most clients report that this is a very comfortable treatment, some feeling nothing at all and others a mild pinching sensation.What is involved during the treatment?Your Aesthetic Therapist will first perform an in-depth consultation and your medical history will be taken, to ensure that there are no reasons why you shouldn’t have the treatment. You will be asked to sign a consent form at this time which means that you have understood the potential benefits and risks associated with the treatment. Your Aesthetic Therapist will then take a Visia Skin Analysis of your skin to enable us to create a bespoke programme for you and to answer any questions you may have prior to starting treatment.We start by cleansing the area to be treated so it is free of makeup and impurities. We then proceed with the treatment by working over the veins with a probe, placing it gently onto the skin, passing the high frequency current down the probe to help coagulate the blood vessel to stop the blood flow.
Most treatments take no more than 15 minutes and patients will see an immediate effect followed by a continued improvement.
What is the skins’ appearance after the treatment?The area treated can look red and slightly swollen straight after the treatment, similar to a cat scratch. This will then fade over the next 24 hours.When will I see results?The results are instant, you will notice the veins disappear straight away as they are touched with the ThermaVein pen.How many treatments will I need?Many clients can be treated in just one session, depending on the extent of their condition. Some clients will need up to 3 sessions and your treatment programme will be tailored to your individual needs.Are there any side effects?There are no known side effects of the ThermaVein treatment. No scarring, bruising and no downtime.
