Harmony Q-Switched Advanced Tattoo Removal

Remove unwanted Tattoos with our Advanced Laser Tattoo removal system

Q-Switched Laser Tattoo Removal is completely safe and produces fantastic results in the removal of tattoos.  It is effective in removing tattoos of most colours with a minimal risk of scarring.

Laser tattoo removal using a Q-Switched laser is considered the gold standard treatment by dermatologists and will, in most cases, remove all traces of the tattoo.

How does it work?
The tattoo is targeted by the laser, which emits a beam of light directly to the ink.  The laser light is delivered in nanoseconds meaning that a Q-Switched laser tattoo removal machine will literally shatter the pigment in the skin, breaking it up into small particles which are then removed by the body’s immune system so the tattoo gradually disappears.
What is involved during the treatment?

Your Aesthetic Therapist will first perform an in-depth consultation and your medical history will be taken, to ensure that there are no reasons why you shouldn’t have the treatment. You will be asked to sign a consent form at this time which means that you have understood the potential benefits and risks associated with the treatment.

We start by thoroughly cleansing the area to be treated and then your Aesthetic Therapist will put special glasses or eye pads over your eyes to protect them. The surface of the hand piece is gently applied to your skin and pulses of light flash.

Once the treatment is finished we will apply an ice pack to the area treated to help calm any swelling. We then apply a barrier cream and cover the area with a medical patch.

The treatment time depends on the size of the area treated.

Does it Hurt?
You will feel an immediate stinging sensation followed by a burning sensation when the laser light is applied.
What is the skins’ appearance after the treatment?
The area treated will be swollen, red, raised and there could be blood spotting.
When will I see results?
Results will be progressive, after each treatment you will see a noticeable improvement on the area.
How many treatments will I need?
A minimum of 8-10 treatments are generally required at 8 week intervals.
