These treatments are also useful if performance dictates that you need to remove unwanted hair. For instance if you are a sportsperson - a swimmer, runner, or cyclist perhaps - you may be able to increase your speed by having a smooth surface which gives less resistance.
How does it work?
A beam of light of a specific wavelength is passed through the surface of the skin to the hair follicle where it is absorbed by the melanin, generating heat. Through a process of selective photo-thermolysis, heat thus generated destroys the hair follicle while sparing the surrounding skin.
