How does EndyMed PRO FSR work?

 

Fractional Skin Resurfacing treats a fraction of the skin’s surface so that there are areas of healing tissue left to promote fast healing and reduce any downtime post procedure.

Skin ageing happens differently in different layers of the skin and each layer requires a specific modality to give effective treatment. Upper skin layers, the stratum corneum and epidermis, are best treated with ablation, allowing removal of damaged skin cells for the reduction of roughness and hyperpigmentation – fractional ablation is best suited here. The deeper layers of skin, the dermis, suit nonablative deep dermal heating which causes collagen remodelling as well as scar and wrinkle reduction.

EndyMed 3DEEP Fractional Resurfacing is a multi layer therapy simultaneously allows micro-fractional ablation on the epidermal layer and deep dermal heating in one pulse.

What is involved during the treatment?

Your Aesthetic Therapist will first perform an in-depth consultation and your medical history will be taken, to ensure that there are no reasons why you shouldn’t have the treatment, and you will be asked to sign a consent form at this time which means that you have understood the potential benefits and risks associated.  Your Aesthetic Therapist will then take a Visia Skin Analysis of your skin to enable us to create a bespoke programme for you and to answer any questions you may have prior to starting treatment.

The procedure will start with a cleanse of the skin, your aesthetician will then apply a topical numbing cream prior to the treatment which is left on the skin for 20 – 30 minutes after which the numbing cream will be removed and your EndyMed FSR treatment begin. A small hand held device is applied to the skin in a stamping motion, the treatment will last between 45 minutes – 1 hour, we are able to concentrate on specific areas of concern such as under eye bags, upper lip lines etc… We will then apply your soothing cream and SPF when the treatment is finished. 

Does it hurt?
You will feel mild discomfort of heat after the topical numbing cream has worn off, this would only last a couple of hours.
What is the skin appearance after the treatment?
The skin will appear slightly pink straight after treatment, this will subside within a couple of hours.
When will I see results?
You should start seeing results after your first treatment, with best results seen at the end of the course.
How many treatments will I need?
A course of 4 treatments are recommended, but this depends on your specific concerns which will be discussed in your consultation.
