What Can I Do About My Wobbly Neck?

Question*

Help! My muscle tone under my chin and my neck is becoming saggy. I know what to do for my face to help that youthful look l but what can I do about my wobbly neck?

Patricia, Walton

Answer

First and foremost, always moisturise your neck and décolleté. There are so many tightening, firming, lifting, plumping and smoothing ingredients in the topical moisturisers – we just have to moisturise beyond the jaw line as well.

You can also combine this with salon treatments including EndyMed 3DEEP® using uniquely enhanced radio frequency for tightening and firming loose skin on the neck. You will be amazed at how youthful and re-contoured the skin will be in quite a short time. EndyMed 3DEEP® treatments work especially well if you combine them with the Dermaquest Enzyme Lift, which does a great job tightening loose, crêpey skin.

How Can I get rid of Wrinkly, Loose Skin on my Tummy?

Question*

I had my third child about a year ago. Everyone told me that my tummy would take at least two or three years to go back to normal. I am notoriously impatient and am desperate to do something to help get rid of that vile wrinkly, loose skin on my tummy. My husband says it is ‘lovely’ but I am 100% sure he is just being the perfect husband. I could get a tummy tuck – could you recommend someone?

Sally, Guildford

Answer

Sally, before you go down the surgical route, I would suggest you try a combination of these two treatments.

Endymed 3DEEP: brilliant for pain-free body contouring. Using uniquely enhanced radiofrequency we are able to treat sagging, lax skin, wrinkles and cellulite with no discomfort and no down time! By heating the inner layer of the skin, known as the dermis, a natural reaction occurs, promoting the production of new collagen. This new collagen is what gives you the smooth texture and elasticity of youthful skin. We recommend 6 treatments at weekly intervals.

Soprano XL: pain-free skin tightening. Wonderful for treating loose, wrinkled skin anywhere on the body. Soprano skin tightening employs a device to emit a beam of infrared light that is rolled over the skin. The beam stimulates the water content in fat and collagen cells, causing them to burn energy, shrink and tighten, and is absolutely painless and ideal for loose crinkly skin on the stomach and for getting rid of that muffin top.

So, there is no need to go down the surgical route with the cutting edge technology that is now available.

How can I Maintain Youthful Skin?

Question*

My 50-year-old friend has the most beautiful, glowing skin. How has she managed to maintain this youthful skin? I know that she hasn’t had botox and I know that she tones and moisturises her skin daily – don’t we all? It would be wrong to say that I was envious of her complexion, but I confess, I am a little bit. However, I never really noticed her complexion until I started to notice my own skin ageing. Is it too late for me?

Laura, Cobham

Answer

It is never too late, and I always maintain that in order to preserve a youthful complexion you have to work on three aspects, namely, the Texture, the Tone, and the Tightening (the three T’s). With today’s advances in beauty technology this is achievable as there is so much to choose from.

Starting with skin texture – to improve our skin we have to get rid of the dead cells which so dull the complexion and are there as a result of a slower skin cell turnover, and the best way to do this is to have a course of microdermabrasion to mechanically take off that dead outer horny layer. I also recommend pumpkin enzyme peels, light glycolic acid peels or deeper TCA peels to chemically remove the dead outermost layer of skin cells.

To improve the tone and even out dull, blotchy skin, IPL (Intense Pulse Light) is the most effective method to achieve that ‘clean, clear, refreshed look’. And then, finally, tighten: to tighten the jowls, lift sagging contours and restore elasticity, EndyMed 3Deep is the best ‘thermal facelift’ around. EndyMed is rapidly becoming established as the ‘must have’ skin tightening treatment available.
