Beat the Bloat

It’s the first week back after Easter and many of us will have been tempted by chocolate and may have accidentally over indulged! The festive period is a wonderful time as we see more of our family and friends and feast on food we wouldn’t usually have, but it’s not so fun afterwards when we feel sluggish, heavy and full of regret overdoing it.

Don’t worry, because at Jill Zander, we can help you beat the bloat and detox your body, making you feel great again.

Body Ballancer Lymph Drainage

Deeply relaxing, the Body Ballancer Lymph Drainage will help stimulate and encourage the natural circulation of the lymphatic system (the body’s plumbing system). This treatment helps clear blockages which cause excess fluid and eliminates toxins and wastes from the body.

As well as improving your lymphatic system overall, our superb Body Ballancer can also boost metabolism, assist in weight loss and help burn calories.

After just one treatment, you will feel the difference. This is fantastic to help you beat the bloating!

Below we have also got a few tips for you that you can do yourself, but you must be disciplined!

Filling up with Water

Festive periods usually involve drinking alcohol and fizzy drinks, which could mean your body is dehydrated. Drink plenty of water to help keep cravings at bay, flush out your system and stay hydrated.

Eat Fruit and Veg

Fruit and vegetables will fill you up without the calories. They are also full of fibre which can help keep us regular, reducing the chances of suffering from constipation, irritable bowel syndrome and haemorrhoids.

Exercise

Don’t push your body too hard after the festive period, you could burnout or injure your body. Instead, do some light exercises like going for a walk, doing an exercise DVD or even just doing housework! It’ll get you back to your normal exercise routine.

Is Laser Hair Removal Painful?

Question*

I really hate waxing. I find it so painful and shaving gives me the most dreadful ingrown hairs. What is more, depilatory creams are downright messy. I have heard of laser hair removal but I’m nervous that this may prove too painful.

Nikki, Bookham

Answer

Any medical laser procedure can be a bit intimidating, but now at last there is a new gold standard laser for hair removal, the Soprano, which is guaranteed to be painless. Laser and light energy is applied in a continuous smooth motion, as opposed to a series of sharp shots with traditional lasers and IPL. The sensation experienced is likened to a “hot stone massage”.

Nikki, you would need between four and six treatments at roughly six-week intervals, and considering the discomfort and problems associated with waxing and other means of epilation, this is a worthwhile investment in both time and money.

The treatments are quick and safe, and there is no down time or recovery time. You can also return to normal activities immediately, and the added bonus is that it is safe for all skin types including tanned skin.

Warm regards,

Jill Zander

How can I Tone Up and Trim Down this New Year?

Question*

It is a new year and I would appreciate some advice on how to tone up and trim down. I would be lying if I said I enjoy the gym, but however I do force myself to go twice a week. I try to be careful about my diet, but my hips and stomach are quite resistant to diet and exercise these days. Could this be middle-age spread? I am now beginning to despair!

Claire, Esher

Answer

I think I have the answer for you. In fact I know I have! Try Accent, which provides controlled volumetric heating therapy to selected problem areas using dual layer radio frequency. This helps to break down fat and rebuild collagen. You will definitely enjoy inch loss, skin firming and tightening. Although Accent boasts this amazing technology, it is not surgery and there is no recovery time. You can go straight back to work or home without anyone being any the wiser.

Combine this with our new Endymed 3Deep for truly the most amazing results ever. This is the latest technology for the ultimate in skin tightening. Using uniquely focussed radio frequency it immediately tightens existing collagen and helps to promote further collagen synthesis.
