How Can I Brighten My Eyes in Time for Christmas?

Question*

My eyes are looking really puffy and baggy and have big dark circles, especially in the mornings. I know it doesn’t help that I like to party – and with Christmas coming up, there will be more parties to go to – how could I possibly turn them down? Can you recommend some magic treatment to brighten the eyes up? Should I invest in lots of cucumbers?

Laura, Bookham

Answer

Hi Laura,

My recommendation to brighten tired eyes is to have our Accent treatment – might be more effective than cucumbers! It targets the water molecule and so is great to rid the area of accumulated fluid, getting rid of eye bags, and does a great job to tightening the skin at the same time. Follow on immediately with our Stay Young treatment for eyes which will also help to eliminate puffiness and lift and strengthen the muscles to reduce the appearance of fatigue – thus mimicking a good night’s sleep.

At home, use the Guinot eye mask – it is the best de-puffing and eye-brightening treatment I know of – and follow with the Guinot eye gel, which will instantly soothe any feelings of discomfort and ping exhausted eyes open.

Is There an Alternative to Surgery?

Question

Dear Jill,

I turn 50 this year and somehow I am feeling my age. I refuse to have surgery, so what’s my alternative? I have a long list of attack, there are lines around my eyes, cheeks and forehead, and also my skin is so dry. What do you suggest?

Rachel, Bookham

Answer

Hi Rachel,

Age-related changes to the skin are triggered by several extrinsic factors, including excessive sun exposure, free radicals, poor diet and so on, and fine lines are the result of our moving faces, showing emotions, reacting and expressing ourselves. Dry skin also tends to look more lined.

A little pampering from time to time in the salon not only nourishes and feeds the skin but also gives you time to focus on yourself and wind down from the stresses and strains of modern life.

The salon treatments I would recommend would be the non-surgical facelift ‘Stay Young’, which visibly reduces wrinkles and tones muscles. Combine this with ‘Accent Skin Tightening’, which uses dual layer radio frequency, and the results are remarkable! Accent has just been featured on 10 Years Younger and it was difficult to tell the results between the facelift and the Accent treatments the two models had had.

So, as you can see, with all this on offer there definitely is an alternative to Surgery! A couple of non-invasive, relaxing and cleansing treatments at Jill Zander can have just as good an affect as Surgery without the Surgery!

All the best,

Jill Zander
